Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TurretDecks by Sterling Thames Media website, online store, newsletter, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who we are

The Services are operated by TurretDecks by Sterling Thames Media. Contact: support@turretdecks.co.nz or Contacts.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have parental or guardian consent, to make a purchase. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep your account credentials confidential.

3. Products and descriptions

We strive to display accurate images, descriptions, edition sizes, condition grades, and availability for collectible playing cards and accessories. Collectible items may vary slightly in appearance; vintage and open-stock items are described to the best of our knowledge. If a product is unavailable or mispriced, we may cancel or adjust the order and will notify you.

4. Orders and pricing

Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars (NZD) unless stated otherwise. Placement of an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline orders, limit quantities, and refuse service to anyone. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation or dispatch notice, as applicable. Taxes and duties for international shipments are your responsibility where not prepaid at checkout.

5. Payment

Payment is processed through our authorised payment partners. You authorise us and our partners to charge your selected payment method for the total amount due, including shipping and applicable taxes.

6. Shipping and risk

Delivery times are estimates only. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier unless otherwise required by applicable law. See our About page and Return Policy for returns and damaged shipments.

7. Pre-orders

Pre-ordered items are charged according to the terms shown at checkout. Release dates may change; we will communicate significant delays where practicable. You may cancel a pre-order only as permitted by our pre-order terms at the time of purchase.

8. Authenticity and grading

We apply professional diligence to authentication and condition grading. Certificates or descriptions are statements of opinion based on available evidence. Our About page describes our approach; exclusions and limits on liability are set out in Section 11.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Services (text, graphics, logos, images, museum and article materials, and software) is owned by TurretDecks by Sterling Thames Media or its licensors. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent, except for limited personal, non-commercial use or as allowed by law.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse the Services; attempt unauthorised access; interfere with security; use automated means to harvest data without permission; or use the Services for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, the Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind other than those that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 (where you qualify as a “consumer” under those Acts). Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Subject to the preceding paragraph, our total liability for any claim arising from the Services or products shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TurretDecks by Sterling Thames Media and its team from claims arising from your misuse of the Services or breach of these Terms, except where prohibited by law.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance, except where we are required to obtain separate consent.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand, without prejudice to mandatory protections for consumers in your country of residence.
